Streetmods 2012 - CapeStance Invades

Before I begin my write up, we'd just like to apologize for the lack of content being published on the website. The past few months have been quite hectic, running around organising everything before Streetmods and getting all the CapeStance clothing etc ready, which you can now buy directly from us! More details on that later though!

The real rush came last week, when everyone from the CS familia was running around like crazy trying to get everything ready for the Cape's biggest car show of the year. Wheels and tires were bought, suspension was fitted and cars were detailed till all hours of the early morning.

On Saturday morning the guys headed out to the Velodrome to start setting up for the next day. I only arrived after about 2pm and things were looking good so far!

We stayed at the Velodrome to finish setting up and to watch the rest of the cars come in and do the last final touches to the cars. Most of the familia left in the evening but a few of us including myself, Keagan and Tauriq decided to stay the night. Luckily we had Keagan's Xbox to keep us entertained.

 Super neat!

Adi making some stickers for the CS cars on display.

Shaakir's Beetle sitting perfectly. Static all the way.

 Yoshi blomming in Keagan's bay.

Last few touches being done on Yaeesh's stance trike.

Achmat's sexy CRX. Definitely the best looking rex in SA in my opinion!

 Branding the trike.

 The CS 35's

PowerRun's sexy wrapped M3 drop-top.

After staying awake the ENTIRE night, myself and Tauriq decided to that we needed some sleep so we headed back to CS quarters to get some last minute sleep.
When we arrived back at the Velodrome at 11:30 it was already packed, and we watched as people came to look at the cars we had on display.
But now I will let the pictures do the talking. Hope you enjoy them!

"Omgaaaaad! Air" My favourite picture of the day!

 Some of the CS Familia!

 Yaeesh's evil Civic.

 Tauriq catching a quick snooze.

At the end of it all it was a fantastic event, and was much enjoyed by all!
Thanks to those who came past the stand and had a look at what we have in store within the CS familia! There were a few cars missing that will definitely be on display next time!

Joey's Project MK5 GTi From Jozi

CapeStance goes to Jozi
Over the past 21 months that CS has been around, we've acquired some amazing friendships all over the globe but the ones that seems to be the strongest  relationship was with our buddies, HoodRideSA, Mahesh Kalain and Jarred Williams and the Super|Dubs owner Yazeed Hothey and Zubair with his Black and Creme G5 from Jozi (Slang for Johannesburg a city in South Africa) they started a little photo group with the guys up in jozi and were too kind as to send me an invitation as well. From here on things got even more fun when I Met Ruschen Naidoo, Joey (SwaggerLifeStyles), Muhammad Cassiem (KindaFlush), Allister Selinda (NeckBreakers) and Robin (KindaFlush).

As I got exposed to what beautiful rides are lurking up country, I was eager to make a mission to Jozi in order to spread the CS love and sneak a photoshoot or two of the beauties that were yet to be revealed! When news got out the Riyaad International Rim Repair and myself were officially planned to come up for a weekend, there was hustle and bustle within the group and car scene in jozi. The weekend was way too short and I did not know what I should expect from these guys that I have been speaking to for so long and have never met personally. It felt like those childhood days when you have a pen pal for years and you finally have the opportunity to meet!

The Friday morning of 7th September had arrived and we landed in jhb at 9am, mission to get our hired car and get our weekend the roll. We were greeted with an unusual coincidence of both Riyaad and my driver's license have recently expired and in the same month! Luckily Riyaad had a receipt for his new one and the Rental service agreed to loan us the vehicle...

I can go on forever bout the amazing weekend, but I have to cut it into parts just so that I do not bore you or go a bit off topic. But a brief summary, friday we did some rare split and monoblock rim hunting and met up with Mr Mahesh Kalain at the legendary Wheel-Nuts wheel sanctuary (A feature of this wheel heaven warehouse will be up soon), Saturday we took a road trip up country to Irene, met up with Mr Zubair Sayed from Wheels & More and then all the boys (Mahesh, Jarred, Yazeed, Zubair, Cubes, Joey and Shantz) met up for a nice chilled evening shoot and finished it off with a crazy supper at Mexicano's. On Sunday, we met up with Preshant aka Shantz, the owner of a immaculate Mk1 Golf Citi Rox rolling on original 16" compomotives (feature coming soon) and we made a road trip up to Pretoria to meet up with Yazeed and Musti of Super|Dubs to shoot the MK1 and Musti's MK4 Jetta/Bora R Line.

Joey's MK5
But to the point now, one of the guys that even though I mentioning last, he is definitely not of least concern is Mr Joey the owner of a beautiful MK5 GTi that has been beautifully style and spiced up with a touch of pink. Joey is the owner of SwaggerLifeStyle blog up in jozi and is a passionate photographer, capturing all the beauties rolling around in the jozi. Joey says he is a passionate CS follower and he admires our work, so in return we had to express our gratitude with a shoot of his awesome MK5 GTi. Since we've been in contact he has been amazing me with the rare wheels he has been rolling on and his current fitment is got me itching to make this trip - 18" Mercedes Benz SL500/SLR Alphards wrapped up in Pirelli rubbers. I believe that for a G5, this is one of those wheels that van never be faulted! It is almost as if they were designed together to create perfect Harmony! To finish it off this car is fitted with H&R coilovers which are one of the biggest names in the static drop industry! (Full specifications below)

Joey has been harassed by many photographers and blogs since the fitment of the wheels and fortunately for us, Joey has a huge love for CapeStance and was willing to preserve this beauty under covers until we met in person so I could be the first to spend some quality time with his piece of art!
